Order cancellation

Made to order products

Cancellation for all made to order products Joinery Hardware have ordered specifically will be contingent upon the supplier cancelling the order to Joinery Hardware


Warranty

Joinery Hardware act as agent on behalf of their suppliers. Joinery Hardware suppliers guarantee their products against faulty workmanship or defective materials for a period of two years from the date of purchase. They will be replaced at no charge to the purchaser once the defect has been inspected and confirmed. Joinery Hardware assumes no liability under the guarantee for the following:

  • Improper installation or failure to follow fitting instructions.
  • Failure due to improper maintenance.
  • Fair wear and tear.
  • Indirect or consequential loss or damage.
  • Cost of removal and/or replacement.
  • Cost of freight and/or travelling time.
  • Damage to or deterioration of plated finishes (soft finishes). As deterioration is possible under some environmental conditions, these finishes are excluded from this guarantee.
  • Any modification or repairs to a product, as supplied, unless authorised by Joinery Hardware.
  • Use of replacement parts other than authorised parts.
  • Malfunction or failure of the product due to the use of non-genuine Joinery Hardware parts.


Commercial use

It is a condition of sale that this guarantee and the Consumer Guarantees Act will not apply to products acquired for commercial use.

An application to return must be made within 14 days of the purchase date.Any item returned arbitrarily by the customer may not be considered for a credit.

Joinery Hardware will only accept returns for the following reasons

  • Goods damaged or faulty prior to delivery.
  • Goods supplied incorrectly.
  • Goods failing to meet any applicable guarantees under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
  • Goods that vary from their description on the website.
  • Application to return must be made within 14 days of the purchase date.
  • Goods returned must be in a saleable condition in un-damaged packaging.

Goods purchased and no longer required are only returnable at the discretion of Joinery Hardware. If a return for credit is agreed to, a minimum 20% re-stocking fee will apply.


Refunds & Credits

Whenever possible, Joinery Hardware will replace any damaged or faulty goods; otherwise a full refund will be issued for the value of the damaged or faulty goods.


Postage & packaging

  • Please include a copy of the invoice or packing slip that accompanied your order.
  • If you are unable to provide a copy of the invoice or packing slip, include a note containing your order number, name, address, email address, contact phone number, and reason for return.
  • Please allow 14 days for resolve of your return.


Southern Design Group (SDG) Product Returns

Tradco products must be returned in an as new saleable condition including original packaging. A minimum re-stock fee of 25% is applicable to all SDG products accepted for return.


The following made to order items will not be considered for return

  • Standard, special powdercoat and plated finish.
  • Customer specified non stock items.
  • Custom keyed lock products.
  • All cut to length product.

Discounts and promo codes advertised on this website, online or via any other form of media are expressly for the benefit of retail customers.


Consumer Guarantees Act

Consumer Guarantees Act: This guarantee is in addition to any rights and remedies available to a "consumer" as defined under the Consumer Guarantees Act (as detailed below).

  • Be of acceptable quality (see definition below).
  • Be fit for their particular purpose.
  • Match the description given in advertisements or sales brochures, or by the sales assistant.
  • Match the sample or demonstration model.
  • Be owned by the consumer, once purchased.
  • Be a reasonable price, if no price or pricing formula has been previously agreed


Acceptable quality

  • Do what they are made to do.
  • Are acceptable in appearance and finish.
  • Are free from minor defects.
  • Are safe and durable.

  • In general delivery times are within two days.
  • Please add one extra day for rural delivery.
